The settling of this mountain house perched on a bluff 300 feet about the Delaware River is absolutely breathtaking…On the terrace you get the full “Wow” impact with the river stretching for miles in both directions.
In nice weather you’ll want to bring a good book and stay outside taking in the view from the terraces on the first and second floor or from the Adirondack chairs set on the lawn to take in the spectacular views. On the first floor there’s a breakfast sunroom surrounded by windows; an informal living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a formal dining room which is ideal for small meetings.
In the late afternoon Alan ad Kurt visit with their guests and serve beverages (wine, beer, or soft drinks) and hors d’oeuvres. The night we stayed we st outside and had a cheese spread, veggies with dip, and baked portabello mushrooms. Returning from dinner we found a tray of high quality cordials set our for guest to help themselves to.
Sleep in or get up early as breakfast is served anytime from 8:30am to 11am (continental available at 7:30am) with a choice everyday of French toast stuffed with cream cheese and a choice of fruits; baked “eggs in the clouds” with choice of Benedict, with veggies, or with salmon; baked spinach, cheese and ham omelet; or lox with toasted bagel.
